Divided Lite Doors
Divided lite doors can be the perfect option for your home. Some homeowners are even choosing divided lite doors with clear beveled glass or a textured glass for privacy. By coordinating with your window grid patterns, you can create a cohesive look that complements your home’s architectural style and increase your curb appeal.

Satin Brass
Brass hardware has made a comeback. There are so many new finishes and styles, including satin brass. This will completely change the basic shiny brass door knob trend so many homes had at one point. Satin brass is more flexible and can be used in a traditional or modern home on any door or cabinet.

Farmhouse
A farmhouse entry door can completely change the look of your home. Whether your home's style is more traditional or modern farmhouse, find an entry door option that will complement your aesthetic. For a traditional farmhouse style, add a wood entry door that displays the natural beauty of wood. Or for a modern farmhouse look, choose a solid-color entry door in a neutral color, like black or white.

Distressed Woods
Love the look of a rustic, weathered door with heavy iron hardware? This is the perfect option for you! This is a weather-worn look characterized by our standard heavy distress, combined with deeply planed channels of various sizes into the door’s stiles, rails, and panels. Even though this can feel like a rough or rustic look, it can give your home the perfect edge you’re looking for.

Brown Stains
Deep, dark, rich hues, from terra cotta and mahogany to walnut and chocolate and everything in between are also on this list of door trends for 2021. A stained door can warm up the overall look of your home. People are incorporating outdoor elements by using natural wood stains for the entire door or certain elements of the door, such as accents. At Door Masters of Texas, we are constantly looking to push the envelope with the unique doors that we create and there is no better example of that than the petroglyph door we recently created for a client, Lee. Lee, who owns a vacation home in St. John in the U.S. Virgin Islands, came to us with a few design examples of petroglyphs that have been found in that area that he hoped would work for a door design. Looking to incorporate the culture of the island into his doors out of respect for the people of the island, we poured over his ideas and came up with a sketch of one of the petroglyphs. The design had two doors meeting to create the petroglyph design when closed. From there we made a template and confirmed the arches with Lee. It took a lot of work to determine how the design would connect in the middle, but we eventually came up with an ideal design. Next, we made the doors and had the design ready for glass to be installed. We then added an application of our custom stain color and seven coats of high-gloss urethane to protect the doors from salt that comes from the ocean. The coating had the door looking extremely smooth! We also had to make partitions for the glass, as glass cannot be made that size. These were made to be as small and minimal as possible. Then we covered the partitions with a covered seal to protect the glass and to hide the connection of the glass pieces. The finished product was crated and shipped out to Miami before reaching its final destination in St. John. Our team at Door Masters of Texas are able to make intricate custom doors like these for any type of property. Whether it is for your vacation home in the U.S. Virgin Islands or for your home in Spring, TX; Cypress, TX; Houston, TX; Sugar Land, TX or the surrounding areas, we promise to provide you with a custom door you’ll be proud to call your own.
